So I have a character that is rigged and animated in 3dmax+CAT, that I want to transfer to maya. What would be my path? I tried exporting through FBX with pointCaches - most animation got transfered, at least deformation seems to be ok, but transformation is lost. It seems that objects that are linked to smth get only shape change transferred (I'm a complete max noob, so forgive me any nonsense here
). I'd like to transfer only meshes with simple animation+pointCache, I don't want any bones or complex rigging to be translated to maya - the character will only be rendered here.
Can anyone point me to solution to completely bakeout animation to FBX, so that any rigging is discarded ?
