what about options like POLYTRANS or Right Hemisphere's Deep exploration 3d.
Are these multi-format converters good enough and do they do a decent job of converting .max to .mb format and the files textures and mapping and mesh remains same when we open it in MAYA?

Is there any tute or instructions on wht tabs to click while exporting from MAX and wht options to tick or to consider when exportin in MAYA?
Is there any tute out there which explains this connectivity between MAX and MAYA.
I wonder one thing tht now MAYA is also an autodesk product then why there is no direct Open > *.max
option yet given in MAYA 8.0????
