Max9 On Vista 32...driver Error & Black Viewports

Im trying to install Max9 on Vista Business32 (dont ask why) and it works.. except,
I get a driver error (dxDDS.bmi) when I start-up, and the viewports are all black. When I click & drag,
the selection area reveals the grid as long as the button is held.. then returns black when released.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Hey,

You can try this and see if it helps. . .

Right click on the 3ds Max 9 exe and say run as administrator also go to its properties and under the compatibility tab make sure to check the option Disable visual themes and Disable desktop composition are turned on.
