Maya 7 Bonus Tools Fedora Core 4

Good afternoon everybody, I am a tad confused here...
I have Maya 7.0 installed on Fedora Core 4 and it runs great with one exception: Bonus Tools does not show up in the menu.
I installed the tools as su, rpm -i . Afterwards, I created a userSetup.mel file in ~/maya/7.0/scripts with the contents of Bonus Tools' userSetup.mel file. To my understanding, that's all which is required.
Seems like a path variable isn't set to look in that directory at startup.
Any ideas guys?

Hi poor guy,a few day ago I faced the same PB, and the solutions seem's the Funniest one
Just open BonusTools.txt in Module directory then change the "+ bonusTools 7.0 /usr/aw/maya7.0/BonusTools" B form Uppercase to Lowercase b like "+ bonusTools 7.0 /usr/aw/maya7.0/bonusTools"
then restart Maya,It will brings the menu well, I think It's will worked for you and help for you,notice
after you exit maya,look the Module directory again,you will find a new bonusTools.txt~ file there
I dont exactty know what maya do,but the PB is solved.

that being said, I have to say I'm a little offended Alias hadn't caught that one before release.
