Maya 7: Opening & Closing Credits In Maya Possible?

Hi everyone,

I have a question about animation: I want to create opening and ending credits for scenes for a small animation (in AVI format). Basically the animation should begin with the opening credits like the name of the animation and the creators of the animation and at the end of the animation should have the acknowledgments etc.

Is it possible to create this in Maya? I guess this isn't really 'modeling' per se but does Maya have any way to do this? Is so how?

If not then is there any other way of doing it i.e. other software (hopefully freeware?)? I know Adobe Premiere will probably do this for me. But I prefer to use (and learn!) how to do this in Maya. This may be stupid/moronic/imbecilic: let me know

Sure, tough MAYA is not the application to do avis maya just does pictures*. Compress elsewhere.

*avis are just globs of individual pictures theres nothing special in that. So what you allways do is pictures and convert those to avis. So if software can do pictures it can do what you ask

You can create text in Maya with the Text Tool in the create menu. But as already mentioned it will be best to compress it in another program
