Hello... I'm thinking to use Maya cloth for the model I'm using, and I had already read the previous post about Maya Cloth before, but because I'm a new user to Maya; therefore, I might not understand what is some talking about.
I was just wondering how to get thickness in Maya Cloth, because I notice how thin and plain it looks; so I really hope someone can explain how to do this in detail, it would really be appreciated. Or maybe someone know if there's a tutorial on the internet that explain how to do this.
I really want to achieve the liveliness of the cloth skirt I will be doing, should I really use Maya Cloth to get the cloth animation? or just model it and put skeletons on it? Any suggestions?
Have anyone looked at the girl in the short film of ILM? That was such a great short film. I really wanted to achieve the skirt animation effects of that little girl in there, wherer the skirt has a little thickness to itself.
If anyone haven't seen it. Please go to http://www.ilm.com/ilmshorts.html
