Maya dopesheet and graph editor

hi all!! i have a 2800 frame animation which starts at frame -350 and ends at frame 2450; my problem is i can't seem to advance the whole thing so the start frame is 0- i tried highliting everything in the graph editor but that didn't work at all-and now someone suggested i use the dopesheet(scene summary)... does anyone know how i can achieve my goal, and if you do can you be specific in your explanation??thanks to anyone who can help!!

select all the objects in the scene , go to the dope sheet , in the dopesheet summary you see all the objects you selected. select them again in the dopsheet summary. now you see the keys appear in yellow next to the dopesheet summary. now drag them with the middle mouse button to the position you want... hope it helps
