A friend of mine has got a big problem. He has Maya 4 Unlimitedand has 192 mb of ram. All was going fine for a while, but then unexpectedly Maya started to eat up all the ram, including virtual ram. It uses over 1 gig of virtual ram and he has to set the page file to ove 1 gig in order to use Maya. He does not use it for heavy modeling and animation because he is still learning the basics.
His system specs are as follow:
Windows 2000
Pentium II 400 Mhz
192 MB RAM
Voodoo 3 3000 (16 mb)
Any help would be really appreciated, and I'm sorry if this question has been asked in the past. I looked through the forum and I couldn't find a previous post about this.
