Maya Hair versus Shave and Haircut?

I am now good using the Maya hair system and it's pretty good. But whenever I watch some video of proffesional cgi guys, it seems they are all using the Shave and Haircut system from Joe Alter.

Is it better then Maya hair? It is another 800 dollars, but I need really realistic hair.

So does it give more realistic hair then maya hair? Maya hair always seemed a bit too bouncy though.

Yes and no, it has some advantages. Especially if you use prman

In any case you shouldnt be measuring stuff based on where they were used. You should measure thing ssoley on your own merit.
