Maya In Linux Menus

I’ve seen Maya installed in 2 different Linux distros (SUSE + Ubuntu) and i noticed something.The submenus that are inside the menus DONT open/slide automaticly as it should be.You must click again for a submenu to open.That is very tiring to do and it delays you to your work.Is there any way to fix this issue in Linux and make it work like Maya installed in Windows XP?

This is due to the fact that Maya's User Interface is constructed with the Motif toolkit under Linux (which has much more limited presentation features then more modern UI toolkits used by Gnome / KDE). I am not an expert in Motif nor would I want to be as it is fairly outdated but I am sure Autodesk are aware of the limitations and the fix is either not practical enough or not demanded enough by their (Linux) customers. I suggest googling for Maya & Motif or talking to someone at Autodesk about the inconvenience.
