Maya Movie texture FILE

What's up guys and gals?

Ok I'm making a theatre in Maya 3, I want to apply a movie texture file on to the movie screen. I'm planning on playing a movie trailer on the screen, but Maya would only be able to read the files as Filename.ext.Number.

Now here's the real question, it's on After Effects so maybe someone will know. In aftereffects you can convert a movie(quictime, windows Media) in file sequences. I'm going to convert mine into SGI files, but when after effects renders it out, it renders it out as filemane.number.ext, and I don't know how to switch it to the other one (Filename.ext.Number).

skip the problems and use a movie texture ..load a quick time thats the snmae length as your scene into it and its done. Good idea to TURN off MIPMAP so its not blurry,.

I always use Filename.Number.ext and it always works. Beware though, After Effects default output is Filename_number.ext, but Maya wont see that as an image sequence due to the underscore. In the output module of After Effects, make the 'Filename' look like this;

filename.[####].ext

If you really want filename.ext.number then the output filename would need to look like this;

filename.ext.[####]

but I dont recommend that format.

The Quicktime idea sounds good, but I can't seem to get it to work, can you maybe explain it to me.

I, too, would like the Porfessor to explain how that's done, because it sure dosent work on NT.

(BTW I have a great recipe for Hat in case I'm wrong...)
