Hi,
I have problems with batch rendering the maya 8 fluids ocean. The batch render messes up the displacement animation, the displacement doesn't animate at all. When I watch the animation I notice the displacement standing still, while the fluid texture animates over the frozen displacement. Rendering the ocean from the viewport, the displacement does move along with the texture, I tried this with a script that renders each frame seperatly from the viewport. This is however not a good solution as I want to batch render the ocean in my network on 4K resolution. I posted this problem on cgtalk a few weeks ago, but nobody seemed to have a solution for this ![]()
I really hope someone here knows how to fix this problem.
P.s. I use mental ray.
