Maya Spacebar Issue On Suse10

Hi guys!
Finally made the move to Linux and i'm loving it. But one thing, namely the spacebar acts kinda funny, sometimes i have to press it a couple of times until it does the job. Is there a setting i might've overlooked, or a trick of some sort?

Actualy it turns out it does work properly if i dont move the mouse, which kind of slows down the workflow a tiny bit.
Is there a way to fix this?

I haven't experienced any issues with Maya 7.0 on SUSE Linux 10.0 and I'm using the same graphics driver release. If you click the space bar with a quick tap then you can change views. If you hold the space bar down then Maya's Hotbox should open allowing you to make a selection with your mouse.

Hm DarKnight, CuzzinLouie wasn't saying his hotbox doesn't operate at all, he was saying it doesn't work as advertised _while he's moving his mouse_. If mouse is stationarry, tapping hotbox will work ok.
CuzzinLouie: unfortunately its a known issue with Maya for Linux (it didn't exist in Irix, doesn't in Windows, don't know about osX). All you have to do is get used to halting your mouse whenever you want to tap into other views with spacebar...

Hi there, I had the same problem. To solve it on kde go to the Configure Window Behavior window and on the focus part, change the policy to: focus follows mouse and uncheck the auto raise and the delay focus and check the click raise active window

Hm, nope, it doesnt work for me.
Are you on Suse10? So you can switch viewports while moving the mouse?
