Maya To Max

hey guys/girls...
i have been a MAYA user for a long time and i have recently had to change over to MAX due to work reasons.. Now i have about 2 weeks to learn it again... i have used it before but that was a while ago..
can someone just help me into telling me wats the same in MAYA as in MAX..
eg shortkeys, orbit short key??
i have seen some things a bit the same, but wat is that spaceship in order too move around ur screen... is there a better way to navigate??
is there a way u can make your own shortkeys??
please guys let me know... im sure there are a few of u that have been in this situation before??

I use the middle mouse button for navigatin. MMB is pan, scrollwheel is dolly, MMB + Alt is rotate. z to centre on a selected object.

Ctrl + V is copy/instance, maya's version or duplicate.
Alt + W to goto "four view" and back to single view.
The numbers 1 to 5 are shortcut keys for vertex, edge, border, polygon (face), element sub-selection mode.
The turbosmooth modifier is like the polysmooth node.
"n" is "autokey" mode.
Snap is "s", right click the snap icon in main toolbar to change the snap options.
