I once worked on a PS2 game where the techies had set our animator's dev stations such that all we need to do was build things I Maya, including the CSG level /physics shapes, and hit a hot key to export it to a playable PS2 version.
At home, I have experimented with Unreal Ed, and have reached the point of successfully importing decorative objects made in Maya into my Unreal level, But I really dislike the modeling tools within unreal ed, I'm much faster and more comfortable in Maya.
I'd like to be able to build the actual level geometry in Maya and export it as build-able unreal level, and import that into Unreal Ed, but I've not found a utility or plug in by which this is done.
is that a normal level design work flow?
Are there any utilities/plugins for doing this?
