Maya8 Does Not Working

Hi,
I installed Maya8(32bit) for RHEL4.3.
It was working Maya7 well, But, does not working for Maya8.
I was able to see only script editor.
Script Editor has error:

Just checking, did you uninstall Maya 7 before installing Maya 8?

This is a concern since it appears a file(s) possibly was corrupted in your AW directory. Did you do a clean install or just an update to Maya 8.0? Please run a Maya debug from a Terminal "maya -d gdb" then "run" (leave out the quotes) and post the error if any. Also it's important when posting issues to not only indicate what software application you're having a problem with but also what OS distribution, GUI desktop (ie: Gnome, KDE, etc) and your system specs.

Did you create new default prefs or try to re-use previous version's.
move your current Maya 8 prefs aside, and let Maya create new default prefs

mv ~/maya/8.0 ~/maya/8.0-old
