I want to write an expression which is able to lock a attribute according to the state of another attribute. Is it possible to use the MEL command : setAttr -lock ....
For example :
if (node1.attr1 == 0)
{
setAttr -lock node2.attr2....;
}
I have never used a mel command in an expresion...
Thank U for your help
Tony
sure is, have you tried it yet?
yes, but it doesn't work, or maybe I don't write with the good syntax....
mm, you'll need a dummy attribute somewhere that is fed something from the expressn to pull its evaluatn, otherwise it will only eval on frame change. so, say, just add an attrib like the one you are monitoring, and set it to equal it in the expressn, make it non-keyable to prevent listing in the channelBox, unfortuneately you cant hide the attrib all together.
