Since this is such a simple question I thought I would post it here.
What is a float?
I know an integer is a whole number, so does that mean a float is a decimal number?

basicaly yes.
Its a basic computing term meaning that the digit contains a number preceeded by a point (immidiatey after) and a number indicating the power of 10 what this means is that its like a calculator in scientific mode shows... but this is just internal stuff. but explains the name.
