well i dont know wat the prob is but some scripts wrk perfectly some dont
Some scripts are not done well otrhers are not. See in THEORY all you need to do is drop the file into any of the mayas script path folder. It kindof happens that way for many scripts. But for some obscure reason even if the sytem is the simplest solution imaginable, a lot fo scripters seem to fail epically.
problem 1. which is sort of typical, the name of the script file differs from the In point of the script file. Thsi si what Molemas describes. which is the filename HAS TO MATCH the name of the main global procedure you expect to be called.
problem 2. Some scripters expect you to eval everything, either they are being too clever or just dont know well enough.
problem 3. a shitload of scripts are just items thet are supposed to be dropped in the shelf. Really no point because with 2 minutes of extra job theyd have set it up right bt hey.
problem 4. the script relies on maya factory scripts, which ahev been changed since then.
problem 5. the script just IS broken.
Now in my experience about 30% of scripts get things right in regard of execution. Not to say thety are worth anything.
