How does MR3s GI compare to other renderers GI? Often when i see GI renderings they are just a simple object on a plane with a skydome casting the light. It would be a whole differen thing to have the light comming from a small hole in for example a cube right? I made a test in XSI with GI

It rendered very quick, like 40 seconds or so. It seems that MR are very good on these kind of scenes. When I tried a similair scene in Lightwave it looked very bad. I had to turn up the quality a lot, which caused very long renderingtimes and it still looked noisy. I also found it hard to make the light inside the cube bright enough in LW. I might have made something wrong, but Ive heard that LWs GI is really slow...
I would be very glad if someone with experience in different renderers could post a reply to this thread.
