Hi everyone,
I'm having difficulties for make Mental Ray Satellite works properly because the slaves are not using the processors , and are also using just a few memory. Actually doing the renders in the master machine is quicker than using these network render technique, so I guess I'm doing something wrong. This is what i did to configure the network render:
1.- In the master machine I installed Maya 2008 ,unlimited version.
2.- In the slaves I installed Mental Ray Satellite version 3.6.
3.- Configure the file maya.rayhosts in the master machine, apparently its working ok because it detects every computer and also when the render starts u can see in each slave machine a new process appear.
4.- I checked that in total I don't have more than 8 CPUs.
5.- I disabled just in case every firewall.
So basically the main problem is that the slaves machines are not using their max power, not the process nor the memory.
Any help would be appreciate it.
