Can't wait to start using XSI. I've got three copies but no hardware keys for NT. So, I've read the manuals while I wait.
Question: Is AVID/Softimage/MR going to continue the same licensed rendering scheme they had in the past? Must users still buy multiple copies of mental ray for dual processor machines as well as distributed rendering?
I have a SGI 320 NT with dual 450s. In the past that would take up two licenses of MR. Does the render region automatically take two licenses? If so, then in production, of my three copies of XSI only two people will be able to perform rendering tasks at one time.
BTW - Kudos to AVID/Softimage for making what looks to be a great base package.
