Hi guys,
I have a problem with my character, I am at the skinning stage right now... I want to paint only one side of it to save some time and to make both sides move the same way.
So my character is in a model called "MyCharacter" and the skeleton as well. I select the mesh and create a Symmetry Mapping Template and Symmetry Map as well.
I let the default values in the Symmetry Mapping Template and click Validate...
Default values look like : MAP FROM LFoot TO RFoot
First surprise everything is wrong... I've already read things on forums about this and everybody seem to say that default values are allright...
So in my case I have to do like 50 copy and paste...to make the values look like :
MAP FROM ManSkeleton_Complete.LFoot TO ManSkeleton_Complete.RFoot
I Validate everything is allright now...
Then if I do the painting on the left side for example and mirror the weight on the right side, that works the weighting is symmetrical but the points on the right side are assigned to the left arm ... I want them to be assigned to the right arm...
Am I missing something here ?
