here's a model i'm working on for my demo at school. I'm just looking for some critiques on the model itself before I start texturing
thanks in advance! ![]()

i've done some major tweaking on the eyes including adding some properly textured eyes (tho i'm not sure if they are glossy enough yet) i've also tweaked the base of the ear a bit as well...
crits are welcome if anyone is willing to share some insight =)

I kinda like the slightly frosted eyes. It compliments well with the coolor of the character. It's a good start.
well, here's the first step of texturing... i still have a few small details to work in there but i couldn't wait to post... still have to do bump mapping, etc...

well, i haven't really gotten many bites in the way of critiques so far but i'm going to update anyway...
i'm considering it done for the next couple of weeks (i have to render a turnaround for school and have run out of time to work on it more)

The bump mapping definately adds to it and looks better than your earlier versions. The eyes are a little dull. there could be more highlights in there. The specular highlight on the eye would have a harder edge on it.. this is very soft.
Is this a character that you plan to make a body for?
Good progress thus far! The bump may need a little tweaking around the nose and lips. In those areas the bump seems to be losing a bit of definition.
I like it. Might want to look at it against a white background or a photo, just to see how the environment affects.
A dull sheen at the base of the horn could bring that area out more. You also might want to make the eye lid meatier. It looks thin to me.
Perhaps you could put some surface variation in the flesh of the ear to integrate it more with the face, which has much variation.
Oh yeah, it might be cool if you stuck a nasty pockmock some where on its cheek ![]()
