Modeling help needed

Hello,

I'm a beginning 3d artist :-). I would like to model a car like on

http://www.suurland.com/gallery\_stills\_porsche.htm

but I have no idea how to do it. How to use the blueprints? I mean, I can rotoscope them and paint the shape, but what then? It seems to me that the LOFT function would be to complicated. Am I wrong?
I was told that 3D Studio MAX has special tools for it (surface tools), is there something similar in XSI? And how does it work?

I hope you won't ignore my post and somebody can help me... learning modeling is pretty difficult.

Thank you all

Andillo

Loft is a good start for this. You should first draw crossections of Your shape according to Your blueprints, position them and then you can loft them by activating the lofttool and then selecting all sections in the right order.
Try out first with simple shapes to get used to NURBS-Surfaces. It

surface tools is not for nurbs, it generates bezier patches and can take either 3 or 4 sides. Its faster to work with Surface tools as you don't have to manually select the curves and create surfaces. If you need precision, use NURBS, if precision is not important, use polys, they are much more fun to model
