Normally moving the cursor up or to the right moves the object in a positive direction (this is not necessarily in the direction of the cursor - V2 has this as an option).
In 1.5 you can rotate the top camera to 90 on the x-axis (instead of -90).
How?
In the explorer select project view.
-select views folder
-select the letter of the veiwport that you have the top view in (usually a)
-select top camera
-select kinematics
-select global transform
-press enter
-change x-axis to 90
(Note: Similar problem.
If you have rotated the object the pos/neg local direction will change. This can be seen by looking at the colored axises (they point in the pos direction). Normally moving the cursor up or to the right moves the object in a positive direction (not necessarily in the direction of the cursor - V2 has this as an option).
Example: Select local transform mode - create a sphere
Normal - front view
y
|_ x
Rotate an object 180deg around y-axis
y
x _|
If you attempted to move the object along the x-axis, it will move opposite the cursor direction.
Solution: Either use global or view transform modes.
OR
Freeze Transforms (active or all). Under the transform menu (at top or on right).
