Hey everybody,
I am attempting to render my scene with mental ray on my render farm. The scene is of a default Maya "pond" and some spheres. The whole scene renders fine when I hit "Render current frame", but when I try to batch render there is like a gray plane that intersects things and blocks everything beyond it. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work. The problem is that the render farm is rendering it the same way as the batch render function so if I can figure out why my batch render is doing this, then hopefully it will fix it for the farm too. If anybody has any ideas then I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried toggling the optimize non-animated display visibility and also the optimize animation detection in the Performance settings in the Render Globals. I have also tried adjusting the clipping planes of the cameras even though they appear fine in the window. I also tried toggling the AutoRender Clip Plane option in the camera. I am at a loss. Unforunately the file is too demanding to be able to realistically render locally, so the farm is really my only option. Thanks for any help in advance.
Cheers,
Clint
