Using; WinNT, Dual Xeon Pentium III, 1GB Ram, MR 1.5
Almost everytime I start a Batch Render using MR, the render halts about halfway through the total number of frames I set for render, and the Render Window says, "COMPLETE", which it is NOT. Let's say I my animation is 360 frames, I usually will only get @180 frames on the first try....!!
Anyone know what is going on? I just downloaded MR 1.5.1 and will install it today....is my problem related to the License Issue in MR 1.5?
I can render the same animation WITHOUT MR....with the exact same settings, the render is fine, but when rendering with MR, it almost always prematurely stops rendering.
Anyone else having this problem, or can anyone point me to help of some type?
I am afraid the problem is much serious. It seems like an ugly bug, which will not get exterminated until someone in A/W wakes up!
During an animation rendering, with lots of frames, something is getting "stuffed", for luck of a better word. Probably it is some cache that doesn't drain when it should.. I came to this conclusion because MR4M renders always the same number of frames before it stops!!! For example, if I don
gmask, after it stops, the render dialog box says, "Finished Rendering, Hit any key to quit"....so, NO, I cannot resume rendering. I have to manually change render to-from frames in Render Globals in Maya.

When you restart the render with the new in and out points does it continue to render?
Yes, it continues rendering from the NEWLY set in-out frames. But the point is, I don't like/want to reset, restart and wait another whole day for my renders to be done.
Well the point being that something in your project may be eating up all the ram and killling the render. What kind of settings are you using? If you are using FG it doe sadd information to the map for each frame and this may be the culprit.
