Are there any real world speed tests of Maya MR versus FinalRender Stage 2 for Maya...using flicker free animation quality settings (not stills). A break down of some common features like how long shadows, FG or OC, DOF take to render in each solution would be great.
Also, in your opinion, would not having a MR TD on staff make FR the better choice?

No thet would just forefit you one td slot, wich to be honest is irreplaceable. Dont ask how much money you save ask how much more money you can make because you do have the td.
