My first thread, need help in Maya2013 importing MIDI

Hello,
Iam new to this board and found it just a few hours ago. I read several threads, but no one fits my issue..

Please help:
I programmed a complexe drum track in BFD2 and have this as a MIDI file.
Now I want to animate my drum in Maya2013 with this MIDI file and I think MEL script can help me.

Has anyone an idea how to do this? I simply want to import a MIDI file and trigger some animation.

You need to convert the midi track into a audio wave file. Import it under file -> import and then go to your timeline, go to sounds -> select the soumd.
