I am working on an nCloth project in which a cloth object (actually a diaper swallowed by a dog!) passing through some tubular shapes. I animated a poly object along a motion path and used a point to surface constraint to drag the nCloth through the esophagus - stomach etc objects.
I works OK in the larger tubes - but when we hit the small intestines the cloth invariably breaks through the tubes.
Does anyone have any suggestions as nCloth settings which would allow the cloth to pass though the smaller tubes?
Currently i have a cloth thickness of .1 and the self collied width scale of .1. I have a large stretch resistance (200) compressione resistance is 20 bend resistance is .1.
I am pretty confused about the Push Out - Push Out Radius -Crossover Push and Self Crossover Push. Currenly I have them all set to .01 thinking that sould allow the clothe to squeeze through a tight space.
I am really enjoying nCloth and we have had great results with it in various projects so far - but I feel like I am wildly flailing at settings on this one!
Thanks
Susan
