Need A Unique Name Among All Disk Caches?

Hi guys I'm getting an error message I have no clue of what it means.

Since yesterday everytime I try to batch render a fluid simulation ( cached ) I get this error: "need a unique name among all disk caches" after that rendering starts as usual and ends, but it is only rendering one frmae, it is not taking into account my render globals wich are set to render from frame 0 to frame 65.

I have no clue of what to do, this is a big trouble as I can't even test render things.

I am using mental ray in case that gives some extra info.

what happens is that you deleted your cache and remade it. now when yo go to where your fluid cache is, you'll find files named the same. it doesn't delete your old cache just disconnects it. a better way to do it in the future is to truncate the cache on the first frame and never delete it.

I'm gonna try that right away, I feel so dumb of not thinking about it THANKS a lot destruct007 you are saving my a** hehe since I have to press accept about four times before it starts to render, and it was starting to get anoying.

Ha! yeah, what's more annoying is not the pressing is that sometimes the computer needs to think for a while before it even pops uo the error. I've practially lost it over that error, I'd set a render on my local machine at night. Thinking everything is going to go alright I'll go home, I come in the next morning and I have that error and nothing rendered! Sometimes you click ok and it needs to think for a long time before it pops up again (for every time you deleted your cache it will error once) so you can sit there and jus thave to keep hitting "Ok" ...frustrating. Well, hopefully you won't get that any more.

Yeap that worked, not at first, but I deleted all my old cache files just in case and after that it worked. Thanks a lot man. That was exactlly what I was feeling: frustration hehe, thank god since I'm new to maya I'm extremelly carefull with everything working allright and I don't go away the machine until I check at least two frames are rendered, since I never know what could I have done wrong. If not I would go home as you say and cry the next day,hehe.
