Need Help Installing Maya 7.0

[size=4]I install maya then after, when I click to open the program it loads up showing the maya logo and has words "maya loading" after a few seconds an error comes up "Fatal Error.Attempting to save in C:/DOCUME~1/ADMIN~1/LOCALS~1/TEMP/Administrator.20060817.1936.ma" and then closes

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!

Sounds like you have some problems with yoru connection to your licencing server.

But before you call your salesperson chek thhat your not actualy blocking the connection, for example zone alarm has huge problems with this.

What kind of things may be blocking maya?

Anything that disaalows you to use the licencing port whatever you have defined it to be. (open the licence file it reads there)

Anyway if you ahve zonealarm theers no way for you to disable this as it theinks connecting to yourself is supect anyway,.

Can routers and LAN block licence servers too? because my comp has router and its LAN

IT WORKED! I went to my display settings and changed DirectX to OpenGL and made it high quality and canceled triple buffer =D
BUt when the program opens another window opens saying
"OUTPUT window"
Shadow mapping extensions insufficient to support hardware rendering.

What does that mean?

It means you cant use hardware render or highquality viewports (or part of them), because youiur graphics card is not good enough.
