Need Some Help With Doblur Command

Hey folks

Here is what i do :

doBlur -c "C:/Maya.iff" -m 4;

and as the help says i should get a new blured image in C called Maya_blur.iff but no new images are created.

Is this command looking for some specific directory where i should put the image or?

Thanks

try this..

navigate to your image directory

doBlur -c "Maya.iff" -m 4;

In command prompt or explorer?

command prompt

Sorry can u explain more?

To go in may batch mode or prompt mode or just windows prompt mode ? If i do it in windows prompt i get errors and if i do it in maya prompt does not find the file ...

oops.. I forgot that doblur is a mel command.. I think your source images have to be in one of the image directories of your current maya project...like the images folder.. the same applies to commands like makebot etc..

Still does not work.I copied the images both in images and sourceimages folder in my current project directory

by the way what is block ordered texture (BOT) ?

try the project directory instead.. I think that's it

a BOT file is optimized for large textures so that the renderer only loads what it needs to render and is therefore more effecient with limited amounts of ram

I've allways just wrote a batch file for blur2d

Hey gmask

Thanks for helping out buddy

Would you like to send me that batch blur file.I am sure i will learn a lot from it.

Thank you
