This is Niranjan at CREST COMMUNICATION I am handling systems in crest we are working currently on Softimage 3.9 &XSI 1.0. I have installed 8 CPU render racks in my facility. Mental ray server is also installed and I can find all the servers for mental ray. But as I start firing renders it is not using all the
C P U it is supposed to use. But it is only using the respected machines C P U only y. Can you please tell me the whole procedure of how to properly configure this render racks.

1. Do you have sufficient Mental Ray licenses for all CPU's? Although, all of your nodes can see a license, if there are not enough to account for all the systems in your .rayhosts file, then Mental Ray will only use as many CPU's as it has licenses.

2. I recommend not using the system that starts a Mental Ray job, to also be a license server for other systems. This system is already using it's band width distributing data to other systems to render, and having to authorize licenses will hurt performance. It is fine if it has it's own dongle/license though.
