The FIRST "Third-Party" Combustion Training Book Announced . . . .
MCI Videotronic (Denmark) is pleased to announce the availability of a new Combustion Training Book. The book is titled "Combustion: The On-Line Web-Warriors Guide" and is published by MCI Videotronic. It is the first "third-party" training book on the market and is written by Jack Pfeiffer.
Jack Pfeiffer was a beta tester for Combustion version 1 and in 1999, he founded the Danish Discreet User Group. For the last two years, he has been a co-host at the CreativeCOW.net combustion and edit User forums. He is employed at MCI Videotronic as the Combustion demo artist and trainer where he has trained over 150 Scandinavian editors/effects artists. Jack has over twenty years experience in the video and CG industry, as well as degrees in TV Production, TV Broadcasting and Business Marketing.
"Combustion: The On-Line Web-Warriors Guide" is in English and includes three custom tutorials and links to over 20 more tutorials and tricks, an index to over 100 tips and technical posts, and more links to on-line and web-based resources. Also included is a CD-ROM with tutorial footage and demo versions of popular plug-in software such as TrapCode Shine and ReVision Twixtor. Inside is also two special sections: one for 3ds max users (documenting RLA/RPF files import and use) and one for Discreet edit users (documenting combustion/edit integration.) The 140 page book is the first third-party combustion training book on the market and provides the most complete and up-to-date index of learning how to master the use of Discreet Combustion v2. It is called the WebWarrior Guide because, in order to use this book properly, readers will need to have internet access and "work/battle" over the internet. The book will be available for sale via the internet for Euro 40,00 plus applicable taxes, shipping & handling, at the end of November.
