Not a dumb question at all!
There are two ways I can think of to do this:
1) Precompose your layer (Layer > Precompose), then use the new comp to offset your animation. This may work if your original animation doesn't go outside of the frame
or
2) Select all your keyframes in the timeline and move your layer. This has the effect of offsetting your original keyframes by whatever values you translate your layer.
In most situations one of these will work...

hi!
Let say i have an animated layer, for some reason i have to change the posicion of that 3D layer...
My question is: How can i move that layer without having to change all the keyframing again?
(Just like in Combustion, where you switch the Animation button Off and you can move your objects mantaining the "New" position over keyframing)
Thanks a lot in advanced...
