No Room For All Plugins

I am really frustrated because can only load a limited number of plugins. At a certain point, combustion will not load any more plugins whereas AE will allow me to use as many plugins as possible.

I loaded all my AE & photoshop filters into the plugins directory but I've read that I need only save shortcuts to this directory. Is this a reason for the problem?

Does anyone know a workaround?

Haven't run into this before, we tested with pretty much every plugin we could find and it loaded all of them. Are actual plugins missing, or are they scrolled off the bottom of the menu that's larger than the screen height?

Typically, for AE plugins you need to place an actual unregistered copy of the plugin into the combustion Plugins folder, not a shortcut or alias to the AE folder. This is because the plugins must be serialized by combustion with a different number, they don't work properly otherwise. It's possible that some of your plugins are running under the AE serialization, which is why they don't show up in combustion.

Yeah, the problem is not with the serialization it is with the plugins being further below the scrolling capacity of combustion. So if I want to add some extra plugins that begin with s, or t or f then I possilble will not be able to access the ones that start with U.
this is a lame problem - there should just be added on scrolls as your plugins get filled up - after effects does this just fine.

any soluitions? it sucks having to leave combustion and go to ae just to use some filters.
