Node In Error

Hi,

Has anyone had this problem before: the FileIn node has stopped working properly.

I can only import files from the root of my G5's local hardrive!
Put anything (tif, tga, mov etc) in a folder (useful) or on another disk
(firewire, USB, CopperOptical etc) and Shake just doesn't want to know.
All I get is the curse of the red node.

I've tried re-installing 4.1, rebooting, virus-checking etc, but all to no avail.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks.

just a wild guess but could be that permissions are screwed up on your machine..

did you try checking the console messages?
