Nurbs patch modeling seams

hey guys. Im a polygon guy but am trying to get more into nurbs. Im patch modeling some relatively simple stuff, but im having a very annoying problem. you can always see the seams of where the patchs connect. Im trying "attach surfaces" and "stitch" but still nothing. Does this make sense to anyone?

the only adive i can give is..if done properly..you won;t see a seam.
Stich won't help to much if the surafaces are not perfect.

Hi. What you need to do is create tangency along the surfaces where they connect. Stitching can be helpful, but will require substantial tweaking. Usually best to do it manually. Set the selection mode to include CVs and Hulls and highlight two adjoining patches. At the seam, there should be two CVs sharing a single location in space at the end of each adjoining hull. Extending down the hulls on either side of these points will be more CVs. You need to create a straight line between the CVs at the seam and the first CV on both sides. There are a number of ways to do this, all of them tedious. You can snap them to the grid or along a straight curve, but your best bet is a trio of MEL scripts available in the Maya/Scripts/Modeling section on this site. They are "mAlignCvs," mMidPointCvs" and "mPlanarCvs." They work without modification in v 4.5. Note also that once you have established tangency, the aligned CVs must be moved in unison to preserve it. In other words, select them as a group and transform, rotate and scale them to tweak the surface without breaking tangency.

Hope that's helpful.

Attach surfaces should blend them together into one and then you dettach to have two surfaces that are tangent
