So I assume when maya exports it without the mtl file it no longer has any texture coordinates. What I am doing is trying to edit some models for The Sims. They can be made into obj files with mtl files included using a convertor. I can import the obj file just fine into Maya and it even already has a colorless phong shader made for it. If I assign the skin texture to that phong it automaticcaly is UV mapped the way it should be too. BUT, any export of the obj and I lose that texture and the model appears trasparent when viewed by the game after converted back to a SKN file.
What is polytrans and does it do obj files? I must say I am nearly a 90% nurbs modeler.
