I am attempting to use a pond to do a sort of tectonic plates animation. What I want to simulate is blocks of ice in the ocean colliding and affected by ocean wakes. The issue I am having is the tools that I can access through the pond menu allow for a certain behavior in the y axis, but I also want the objects to drift in x and z. Would I have to edit the expression connected to the locator for each object? Can I add some fields to the the pond in order to simulate a current that could affect the floating objects x and z translation? Is using a pond or ocean the best way to do what it is I am trying to do (if you can make sense of it).
