Just a quick one I'm using 1.5 and I need to know when pressing the s key to orbit how do you make it orbit the object I have selected rather than rotating pass it each time. Does the object have to be in the center of the world?
Thanks

Bonjour doh!
You have to remember that as soon as you look in a perpective/camera/user view, you are actually looking at things from a camera view. Cameras always have an interest.
Now, when you do orbit in a camera view, you rotate around its interest.
There is a default camera, and by default this is through this camera that you look. This camera is, by default, hidden. To position its interest, unhide it (using the Explorer view). Then select it in any viewport and place it where you want. So the next time you'll orbit the camera it should be fine, as long as you don't pan the view - when you pan you move the camera's interest.
Hope this helps

......Or you could select the object, place your icon in the viewport and then press 'f' on the keyboard...this should focus the camera on to the object by automatically moving the camera's interest into the objects centre.
