Output Of An Avi To Be Used In Win Adobe Prem

Hi

When I send my work out I usually prefer to send a sequence of targa or exr files. My client asked me if I could send him the work as just a single .avi file with an alpha.

The problem I have is when I change the file out node to be AVI. I try to look at the file on my pc and it crashes. My client said the same was happening at his end when he imports into Premiere.

If anyone could shed some light on this I would be most grateful

you cant output avi directly from any newer version of shake (i cant speak for certain for vers 2.5 on windows but i strongly doubt it).

so output a frame sequence or mov and use another program to convert to avi.

or just give him the .mov (animation codec) and let premiere handle the conversion.
