Hello people,
I have very little experience with the Paint module and I experience something strange and annoying.
Context:
I created a character in XSI. I edited UVs, created "islands" of UVs, froze the projection. Exported to dotXSI, then import to SI3D. Everything is fine, my texture is there, and my UVs are there too.
Then I open the Paint module to paint reference lines, so I can paint seamlessly my texture in Photoshop. Imagine that the UVs of the head are separated from the UVs of the neck, but since my character is very old I have wrinkles that runs along the face down to the neck. So the best solution is to paint those lines on a 3D view.
The problem:
What happens is that when I paint the lines on the camera view, most of the time they don't show up on the texture file. Sometimes they show, but at the wrong place. Sometimes they show and are at the right place.
The only thing I could track down is that the angle of the camera has an impact on this. But I can't reproduce the problem everytime.
The question:
Should I paint when the polygons face the camera in a specific angle? If yes, what is it? If no, well does anyone has a solution to this? Please be kind since I don't know very well the Paint module and the docs don't offer any help with this.
Thanks for reading this long post.
