I've got a relatively heavy character, made up of a number of spheres, cylinders, and lofts, and I was having troubles earlier because I hadn't deleted history on the shapes before doing my smooth bind, so there were all these curves on surfaces, attached surfaces, etc. slowing things down and generally causing problems. One of the problems was that whenever I opened the paint skin weights tool to tweak something, Maya would crash as soon as I clicked on the surface. I've gone back to the bind pose, deleted history on everything in the scene, rebound the skin, and now I'm painting skin weights again, and it was going fine for a while, but now it's crashing the software again. I'm on an O2...
Any ideas?
