hmmm... ok...
converting to polys seems like a kind of heavy solution...
I don't have a problem rendering it out separately, but... I would like my eyelashes to cast shadows on my character's eyeballs, as they do in reality (shading the upper half of the eye a bit more than the lower half)...
so if I separate them out, I have to do yet another pass for the eyelashes' shadows? Isn't there a more efficient way?
(I ask not out of laziness but because I'm dealing w/ over 100 shots here, so that'll complicate the pipeline considerably)
