Okay here's what i've done so far:
-snapped curves out along the geometry for facial rigging.
-added their influence to the head's skin cluster
-turn on Use components under the skin cluster
-when i go to paint weights for the influ_ curves, the main mesh verts drift far off into space. as if they're being pulled towards another object. i would guess they are double transforming.
this also happens for some nurbs spheres with jiggle deformers on them. in this case they're for the fat on a belly. here's what i did for them:
-skinned main mesh to joints
-skinned jiggle deformer geometry to joints
-select main mesh, select jiggle deformer, skin.
-use components is turned on.
DAG stuff:
all my deformers objects are in their own group, under rig. mesh is stored under misc. along with clusters.
In my case i just dont know what part of the rig to break to fix this influence object issue?
before i had this totally rigged with the influence curves. skinned and everything. then i accidentlly deleted history and saved it. i cant go back a file, instead i have to fix this. my setup is exactly the same as it was before accept before i deleted history that time, i'd kinda automated the mouth to smile, make o-shapes and frown with a corner mouth control and an expression. i could explain this setup if you want but its kind of an earful. im using tutorials though i will give oyu a link if you ask. this control setup still works fine i just cant paint wieghts for all the influence curves.
