Particle no support for HD?

Hi,

Particle won't work with comp settings beyond NTSC 720 x 480. I' m trying to put some bubbles in an HDV (1440 x 1080) footage. When I apply the particles the image turn white. What's causing this problem?

I disabled "Use Software OpenGL". It's now working.

Hey Merlin, I tryed it in a 2D Comp with some still graphics in the defalt 24P 1920 setting and it worked fine for me it also rendered fine. Right now I don't have any HDV footage but with standard HD it seems Fine.
I am also using version 4.0. So I would try a quick comp
in standard HD to test you system.

Thanks for your help. I unchecked 'Use Software OpenGL' and now it's working fine.

I'd like to know where you unchecked "Use Software Open GL"....

I mean is there more than one place to do this?

I tried the one under Preferences... it did nothing for me...I still have an all white screen...

Only when I reduce my project to 720 X 480 do I get it to work...
