Particles in SI|3D v4

hi all..

i just installed Softimage|3D 4.0 but i couldnt find the Particle system like the one in 3.8 SP3 version...there is no Particle system

my question is..am i right and there is no particle system or it is some where but i didnt saw it...if there is Particle System in Softimage|3D 4 then can u tell me plz..thanx..

In the past year or so, they have dropped the seperate Soft Particle environment for the integrated one by Phoenix Tools. I don't have my CD's handy but I am pretty sure you have to load this seperately. Not sure if it was from a PT's CD or on one of the Soft3D CD's.

I think this happened in 3.9. Not sure what to do if you want the old particle system. I'd call your reseller.

Do you have Soft V.4 or soft V.4 "extreme", as on there web site I saw this only listed under soft extreme!! Under their new online store!!

The external particle system was no longer included as of SI3D v3.92. It has been replaced with PhoenixTools ParticleSuite which you must install separately from the included ParticleSuite CD. The ParticleSuite tools appear in the Actor module and allow your simulations to be rendered together with the rest of your scene.
